Red19 Global, Aafin Ilu set for International Art Exhibition in Osun, U.K

Red19 Global, in collaboration with Aafin Ilu Cultural Centre, is set to present an extraordinary cross-continental art exhibition.
The theme of the event is: “Cultural Words, Ancient Voices” (Óro Asa, Ohun Atijo in Yoruba parlance).
While the official opening ceremony will take place on 20th-30th September 2025, the event will also run simultaneously for 10 days from the same 20th to 30th September at Aafin Ilu Cultural Centre, Ede, Osun State, and in Derby, United Kingdom.
The curators are Kikelomo Solomon-Ayeni, the CEO of Red19 Global, who has been instrumental in extending the organization’s vision for African art and cultural dialogue to international audiences as well as Oluwatimilehin Osho and Olamide Bakare.
Jurying the exhibition are Prince Adewale Laoye, a renowned cultural custodian and Olamide Bakare, a well celebrated UK-based visual artist.
The exhibition will bring together distinguished artists from across Africa, offering a rich blend of painting, photography, sculpture and mixed media works.
Cultural Words, Ancient Voices
The exhibiting artists include Dauda Ova, Chinwendu Chidi, Anthony Anisiebo, Edirin John Duvwiama, Shegun Oseh, Mercy Odukogbe, Rachael Okogie and Bukola Abiodun.
Others include Ibukun Oparinu, Medeyonmi Akran, Oluwatobi Ogundunsin, Attah George Unwuchola, Olaniyi Atolagbe, Oluwatosin Lamina, Ifeoluwapo Okunade, Kikelomo Solomon-Ayeni and Kester Kanayo Onyemaechi.
With its theme: Cultural Words, Ancient Voices (Óro Asa, Ohun Atijo ), the exhibition seeks to uncover the enduring power of ancestral voices, traditional expressions and cultural heritage as interpreted through contemporary artistic practice.
The works on display will reflect how Africa’s visual languages continue to inspire identity, resilience and collective memory, while engaging global audiences in a meaningful dialogue.
By bridging two continents, the exhibition highlights the universality of cultural storytelling and reinforces Red19 Global’s mission to use art as a medium for connection, preservation and global exchange.
