Hon Bago, APC governorship candidate in Niger, promises to complete Bello’s projects

The governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Niger State, Hon Umar Mohammed Bago has promised to complete all the development projects across the state initiated by his predecessor, Abubakar Sani Bello.

The Niger State-born politician, who is a member of the House of Representatives  for Chanchaga Federal Constituency, disclosed this in Niger State as the party received over 4,000 decampees from other parties to the APC  in the state.

Based on the APC governorship candidates promises, the state is expected to enjoy access to better education, good healthcare, infrastructural development, energy, commerce and investment among others as contained in the states development blueprint when he is elected into office as governor.

During the flag-off of his campaign, Bago assured the people of the state that he would also address the incessant youth restiveness and other crimes across the state.

The Nigerian Union of Journalists in October 2021, had condemned in strong terms the increasing rate of thuggery and youth restiveness in the state.

Speaking against the backdrop of the incessant youths’ restiveness across the state, a recent one which resulted in the death of the Village Head of Lambata in Gurara local government area of Niger state, Bago said that youth restiveness would be addressed through empowerment and quality education to make them relevant in society.

He asked the people to take note of his campaign promises promising to fulfill all his campaign promises if elected.

As the race to the 2023 general election gets tougher, and various political parties seem to form alliance with the ‘powers that be’ to enable them ensure victory, the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Niger state has received 4,780 Decampees from various political parties.

The decampees were received into the Niger state APC by the North-Central Zonal Vice Chairman of the party, Mu’azu Bawa over the weekend during the flag-off of the Niger North Senatorial District campaign in Kontagora.

Out of the 4,780 decampees, 87 were officials of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) while 434 were from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in the state.
