Ondo Governor lauded for Fasua’s appointment as MD of Owena Press

The appointment of Mr. Kayode Fasua as the Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief of Owena Press, the publisher of Hope Newspapers, has garnered praise for Ondo State Governor Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa.

The Director of Media and Corporate Communications at the National Space Research and Development Agency, Dr. Felix Ale commended the decision, calling it “well deserved.”

In a statement released from New York on Saturday, Ale emphasised Mr. Fasua’s extensive experience in journalism, stating, “Mr. Fasua is indeed a round peg in a round hole.”

He highlighted his past working relationship with Fasua, recalling their time together during both military and democratic eras in Ondo State.

“He remains a very good friend and professional colleague whom I am proud of for his professional excellence,” Ale added.

Ale praised Governor Aiyedatiwa for selecting individuals with “vast experiences and impeccable credentials” to lead the state forward.

He remarked, “There is no better choice than Mr. Kayode Fasua as Chief Executive Officer of Owena Press,” noting Fasua’s role as a pioneer staff member.

“He is positioned to fine-tune strategies in consolidating the achievements of the media outfit and transforming the noble dream of its founding fathers into reality,” he added.

As Fasua takes on this pivotal role, Ale urged him to “leave no stone unturned to justify the confidence reposed in him.”

He also extended his congratulations to the newly appointed High Court Judges in Ondo State, particularly Justice W.A. Daomi and Justice A.O. Adegoroye, whom he described as eminent jurists contributing significantly to justice in the Sunshine State.
